Kath Burlinson is a theatre maker whose credits include her award-winning solo show The Mother’s Bones, co-created with her mentors, US artists Paul Oertel and Nancy Spanier. Recent directing/devising includes Neyire Ashworth’s Stolen Voices, developed at the National Theatre Studio, Three Beyond the Sea’s Up the Café de Paris at The New Player’s Theatre London, Eight with composer Conor Mitchell and Skylarking with Jamie Zubairi. Kath runs The Authentic Artist workshop programme for professional and emerging artists and lives in Suffolk. She co-founded the Weird Sisters theatre company and was Associate Director of Youth Music Theatre: UK from 2004-2008. She has a PhD in C19th literature and was Lecturer in English and Drama at the University of Southampton, 1989-1997, before returning to full-time theatre. She has many acting credits in theatre, film and television.
Iain Finlay Macleod has had over fifteen plays performed professionally including The Pearlfisher, I was a Beautiful Day and Homers, all at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. I was a Beautiful Day was recently produced at the Finborough Theatre, London. Libretto includes St Kilda - the Opera which was performed at Edinburgh International Festival 2009. Iain was one of the writing team on the recent Gaelic Feature Film Seachd - The Innaccessible Pinnacle. This film was nominated for two Baftas, Best Screenplay and Best Film. Iain has also written several plays for BBC Radio 4 and has three novels published in the Gaelic language. He was recently awarded the Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship and was Associate Playwright with the Scottish Playwrights’ Studio for two years. Kerry Andrew is a composer/performer with a PhD in Composition from the University of York. She specialises in choral music, experimental vocal music and music-theatre. Her work has been performed internationally and broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and 4 and Classic FM. Her choral music is published by Oxford University Press and Faber Music and she has two large-scale works released by Boreas Music. She performs with and writes for the experimental vocal trio juice and the avant-jazz/classical crew DOLLYman and her alt-folk/looped-vocal solo side project, You Are Wolf has recently released an EP, 'hunting little songs'. As a composer and animateur she has led large-scale music-theatre projects with Drake Music, Wigmore Hall, English Pocket Opera, Junior Trinity/LABAN and Live Music Now. www.kerryandrew.net
